Choose the type of data, paste both versions, and compare.
Compare two versions and see what changed
Paste the original and the changed version side by side. Let the highlights handle the squinting.
- Choose Text, JSON, CSS, or Array mode.
- Paste the original on the left and the modified version on the right.
- Run the comparison and inspect additions and removals. Text mode also has options to ignore whitespace or letter case.
Find a changed setting
Choose JSON mode and compare these objects. The difference highlights the changed retries value.
Original:
{"retries": 2, "enabled": true}
Modified:
{"retries": 3, "enabled": true}
What to know before you start
Text mode works with ordinary text, including code. JSON and Array modes expect valid JSON input; JSON Utilities can help repair it first.
The comparison shows differences between the supplied inputs. It does not run your code, merge changes, or prove that two programs behave the same way.
Comparisons happen in your browser. Very large inputs can take more time and memory.
